# Trench - Your Unfair Advantage

### What is Trench?

Trench is an **alpha-first trading platform** built to surface real-time market positioning, so users can act on opportunities before they become obvious.

In markets where most participants are reacting late, Trench focuses on understanding **who is positioning**, **where capital is flowing**, and **what is driving market behavior**.

By combining **market intelligence** and **execution**, Trench helps users move with the market as it forms rather than after opportunities are already priced in.

Today, Trench supports **crypto** and **perpetual markets**, with additional market categories being explored over time.

**Supported Chains:** Solana & Hyperliquid, with more coming soon.

### Our Direction

The goal is simple:

**Provide users with everything they need to win.**

By combining:

* **Faster access to information**
* **Better understanding of market behavior**
* **Smarter execution**
* **Access to global markets**

We're building a platform where users can discover opportunities, understand context, and execute trades from a single place.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://trenchexchange.gitbook.io/trench-docs/trench-your-unfair-advantage.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
